Hi, I’m Meisha!
Greetings, fellow readers and creative souls! Today, I want to take a moment to share with you the personal journey that led me to embrace the art of writing. As a writer, I have found solace, inspiration, and a profound sense of purpose through the written word. In this bustling world, where chaos often engulfs our minds and hearts, writing has become my sanctuary—a place where I can unravel my thoughts, express my emotions, and connect with others on a profound level.

Welcome to my little piece of the internet
My name is Meisha and I am the founder of thisisMeish and Montessori Meisha.
I consider myself to be a living breathing example of how the dots connect. My life path has taken me from journalism to farming, then to Montessori, and ultimately to Yoga and meditation. Sitting through both my Montessori teacher training in Florida, USA and my Yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, India, were all but glaring reminders of how each thing led to the other and how they all weave together in perfect harmony to carry me along the path for which I was always intended. As Montessori pedagogy teaches, all things connect in a Cosmic dance, everything coming together to form the macrocosm of the Universe. Therefore, for me, there is no separation between teaching in a classroom and teaching in a yoga studio or at a sala or farm. And writing about it, helps me to untangle the thread so I can see the path more clearly.
Putting it all together
This connecting thread of my life has woven itself discreetly throughout all my experiences, culminating in a deeply meaningful career in teaching children through Montessori pedagogy, which fosters not only independent and self-motivated thinkers — but also compassionate and deliberate human beings. Through the brilliance of this philosophy, I have been able to touch the lives of so many children, families, teachers, and other adults in communities around the world, including in Jamaica, the US, China, Thailand, and the Cayman Islands. I am passionate not just about helping children unleash their full potential, but also about inspiring adults to do the same. I live life daringly, unafraid to go against the grain, so long as all things are done with love and in harmony, no matter where in the world I am.
Currently, I am traveling the world, finding ways to be of service and to both contribute to and learn from global communities of seekers and caretakers who are equally passionate about changing the way we interact with the world around us for the better.
And, of course, writing about it.
